Man arrested in connection with Downtown Disney sexual battery case

An arrest has been made in the sexual battery case that occurred at Downtown Disney last week. Hector M. Herrera, 26, was arrested at his home after being recognized from a surveillance photo taken outside House of Blues at the time of the incident. Police released the photo in hopes that the public would be able to share some information leading to the suspect’s arrest.

The victim was found in the early morning hours on July 16, lying naked in some bushes behind House of Blues; her clothes, purse and a used condom were found nearby. She remembered dancing at the club, but couldn’t recall any events after that.

Herrera was taken to the Osceola County Jail by police.
