When it comes to our Disney vacations, many Moms (and Dads) spend their time trying to accommodate the needs and wants of everyone else around them. Today, ahead of Mother’s Day tomorrow, I wanted to do something a little different and hear a bit more about your families. If you are a Disney Mom, have a Disney Mom, or had a Disney Mom, I want to know what you think her best Disney Day would look like. Of course, if you have a Disney Dad, Uncle, Grandmother, Friend, or anyone else who takes the ‘Mom’ role in your world, I’d love for you to add their story as well.
If you/they could plan the perfect day without needing to worry about anyone else’s needs or preferences, what would that look like? First, you’ll have to choose a park; where would this one-day adventure take place? Then, It’s on to attractions, dining experiences, and shopping. Tell me what you would plan to achieve the perfect day for Mom.
Mine would be a day in Disneyland, starting with the extra 30 minutes before entry that you get when staying at a Disney Resort. I love that extra time to get in and speed ride two, sometimes three attractions before that magical rope even drops. Then, it would be every thrill ride in the park with some of my favorite family-friendly rides dotted in between. For dinner, I’ll take a reservation at Downtown Disney’s Jazz Kitchen before returning for a special showing of Fantasmic!, followed by fireworks. Easy enough, right? Oh, and did I mention that I want an early opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and a swift reopening of the Haunted Mansion in this hypothetical scenario as well?
Even though I am planning this theoretical day for myself, I can imagine that my own Disney Mum would have it the same way, as would my Disney Nana, who set the bar high for our adventures while she was with us.
