With so many great discounts available for 2024 Walt Disney World vacations, it can be hard to know what the “best deal” is. Perhaps the most exciting is the free Disney Dining Plan promotion for Disney+ members. Disney+ subscribers can now receive a free Disney Dining Plan with the purchase of a non-discounted 4-night, 4-day Disney World package (minimum stay).

While free dining doesn’t offer immediate savings, the value you receive while on your Disney vacation is incredible. So let’s compare the value of the free dining plan promotion to a standard vacation package to see which offer comes out on top!

For all of the following examples, we’ll look at a Disney World package for a family of four (two adults, two children) traveling July 6 – 11, 2024. Staying at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort in a Standard View room (hello Skyliner access!) with a 4-day park hopper ticket. The total cost, including the free Quick-Service Dining Plan, would come to $4,806.12 (keep in mind pricing could change).

This is a great deal, considering it includes accommodations, theme park tickets, and meals for a family of four during the summer travel season. The question then becomes – how good of a deal is free dining?

Taking that exact same example, the total cost without any discounts would be $5,348.52. This total includes the same theme park tickets and the Quick-Service Dining Plan. Long story short, the free dining plan saves $542.40.

To take this example one-step further, Disney is also currently offering a “Stay Longer and Save More” discount on resort rooms. You can find all the details here. Taking the same package, the new total with the room discount would come to $4,872.14. For those not sold on the dining plan, this same discounted package without the dining plan would cost $4,063.70 total. This would be the lowest rate of any of the above scenarios by $742.42. However, you would then have to pay out of pocket for dining the entirety of the vacation. It would likely be difficult to feed a family of four at Disney for five nights for only $742.42.

The clear winner in these examples is the free dining offer for Disney+ subscribers. It’s the best rate that includes the Disney Dining Plan, which in itself is a great value. This offer may not be for you if your family does not follow a dining plan routine. Otherwise, the Free Disney Dining Plan offer might just be your sign to book that 2024 Walt Disney World vacation!
