The celebrations continue around the world as the 40th anniversary will soon begin at Tokyo Disney Resort, beginning on April 15th, 2023, to March 31st, 2024. The Japanese Disney Parks will host the “Dream-Go-Round” event, which will include an all-new daytime parade, decorations for both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, as well as exceptional food and merchandise. We’ve got some new details and images to show you with a sneak peek of what’s in store.
The festivities will continue throughout the Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea parks, as each entrance will be decorated with colorful, lavish layers of what Disney describes as “Dream Garlands.” Cinderella Castle will also be decorated with a “40” fittingly featured on the front.
A host of all-new entertainment is taking center stage, including “Disney Harmony in Color,” the first new daytime parade in five years at Tokyo Disneyland. Showcasing themes of adventure, courage, family bonds, and friendship from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios films, the parade will open with Tinker Bell atop a rainbow-colored float adorned with beautiful petals. Not only will the magnificent floats be filled with familiar friends of Tokyo Disney Resort, new ones are joining too — including Vanellope and Ralph from “Wreck-It Ralph,” Wasabi, Fred, Honey Lemon and Go Go from “Big Hero 6,” and more!
Over in Tomorrowland at Showbase, a special 40th anniversary version of “Club Mouse Beat” will debut with Mickey Mouse and his friends showcasing their best moves set to varying musical styles such as hip-hop, Latin, and pop. To close out the show, in its grand finale, they’re sporting their 40th-themed outfits to the 40th anniversary theme song.
At Tokyo DisneySea, Mickey and Friends, as well as Duffy and ShellieMay, are ready to welcome you in their festive 40th anniversary outfits in the new Harbor Greeting, “Let’s Celebrate with Colors.” And to end the night, “Sky Full of Colors” will light up the sky at both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea to the 40th anniversary theme song and fan-favorite Disney songs.Disney Parks Blog
It’s time to feast on festive food offerings around the resort from an anniversary-themed ice cream cone at Tokyo Disneyland to delectable dishes inspired by the Aquatopia attraction at Tokyo DisneySea. Of course, Duffy and Friends special menu items will be available around the resort too.
More details are yet to come about the celebration, which sounds very exciting so far.
