Did you know that not all of the animals that live in Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park are visible in the popular attraction, Kilimanjaro Safaris? A recent Disney Parks video (that we’ve included below) reminded me that there are a few hidden animals that live within the park that not everyone gets to see.
Disney cast member and Animal Manager for Animal Kingdom, Missy, talks us through her five favorite “secret” animals to be on the lookout for when you next visit the Walt Disney World park. Missy’s list includes non-other than Australian Kangaroos, with two species that live near the Tree of Life, and American crocodiles that have made their home in DinoLand U.S.A. I do wonder what will happen with them if the area takes on a Moana theme. Perhaps they will fit in with the Zootopia area in some way.
More animals on Missy’s list include Naked Mole Rats at Gorilla Falls Exploration Trails, Southern Giant Anteaters at The Oasis, and others that can be visited at Rafiki’s Planet Watch.
