Back in February, Animal Kingdom introduced the ice cream treat of our dreams combining cookie dough, brownie, vanilla ice cream, chocolate chips, and sprinkles. The Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich quickly went viral and months later, there’s still a long line to get it.
You can find the Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich at Terra Treats across from Creature Comforts (Starbucks) and near the entrance to Africa. This is the original location of the ice cream sandwich and generally has the longest lines. You can now also get the ice cream sandwich at a cart just outside of Island Mercantile at the front of the park. Not as many people know about the second location and you’re less likely to wait.

Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich – brownie layered with vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate chips and edible cookie dough – $8.29

If you’re thinking $8 is a lot for an ice cream sandwich, you’ll be pleased to know it’s easily shared amongst two people! The ice cream sandwich is larger than your standard grocery store version and is quite dense with the layer of cookie dough. The cookie dough is that star of the show and adds the right amount of texture from the chocolate chips and salt from the dough. Fortunately, this ice cream treat is served super frozen, making it easier to eat before becoming a melty-mess. The brownie base layer is dense with the right amount of a crisp crust which really helps to hold the sandwich together.
So is the Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich worth all the hype? Yes! Is it the best dessert you’ve ever had? Probably not. But it’s unique, delicious, and completely worth trying on your next visit to Animal Kingdom. Be sure to grab it near the front of the park and share it with a friend!
