I’ve learned a thing or two since becoming a parent including one fact – kids love playgrounds. It’s like when you buy your child a present and they just want to play with the box. Sometimes you take your child to Disney and they just want to play on the playground. Disneyland has really nailed this concept at the re-imagined Mickey’s Toontown but we do have a gem here at Walt Disney World – The Boneyard in Dinoland U.S.A.
Nestled in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, this playground truly has it all. Slides for multiple age ranges, plenty of things to play and climb on, and a giant sandbox… err dinosaur dig site. For your dino-loving little ones, there are very cool dinosaur bones, and dinosaur facts scattered throughout. The details here are pretty great!
Another striking feature of this larger-than-life playground is its accessibility. There are ramps for children and adults alike to access slides and the dig site.
Don’t worry parents, this one is for you too! There is plenty of seating and shade, along with the ability to bring in food and beverages. Cheers to nailing parenthood!
If you have children who need to give the stroller a break and play until they’re bone-tired (see what I did there??), this is your spot! There are plenty of rumors swirling around about the future of Dinoland U.S.A but I beg you Disney, keep a version of this playground and give us more like it. Or for parents planning a trip in 2024, enjoy it while you can!
