Shovels officially hit the dirt Friday morning as Disney Imagineers posed for a photo in Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park at Walt Disney World, where the new Tropical Americas land has broken ground. While it might be sad for some Disney fans to see Fossil Fun Games there in the background, this is where the first-ever Encanto-themed attraction will be built.
Parts of DinoLand closed on Sunday, January 13, 2025, to make way for Tropical Americas, which will begin welcoming guests in 2027!
