In a recent update from Disney, we’ve received confirmation DINOSAUR will remain open at Disney’s Animal Kingdom through 2025 before closing permanently for its Indiana Jones attraction replacement.
Dinoland U.S.A. is closing in phases to make way for the new Tropical Americas themed land, with Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama, Fossil Fun Games, Dinosaur Treasures (my favorite gift shop, RIP), and Triceratops Spin closing in just a few weeks on January 12th, 2025. With the recent timeline update, we now have a full year with the rest of Dinoland, including DINOSAUR, with Restaurantosaurus and The Boneyard most likely included in the extension.
I’m going to save you from my rant about Disney completely removing their dinosaur land from a mostly-organic, animal-centric theme park (for now), but please know that I am very relieved we have an entire year to enjoy this iconic piece of Animal Kingdom history. Let’s relish in it. Trying to find the silver lining here… but come 2026… we’re not gonna make it.
Between the new Disney Starlight nighttime parade coming to Magic Kingdom, Test Track 3.0, the Spaceship Earth Lounge, Pirates Tavern, AND insuring your goodbye to Dr. Seeker, you won’t want to miss visiting Walt Disney World in 2025.
