A wave of returning attractions and new family experiences is arriving at Walt Disney World just in time for summer, giving guests plenty of reasons to plan a visit in the months ahead. Many of these offerings will roll out alongside the resort’s seasonal COOL KIDS’ SUMMER celebration kicking off May 26, which highlights kid-friendly entertainment, interactive experiences, and refreshed attractions across the parks.
Beginning this spring and continuing into early summer, guests will see the return of beloved attractions, updated experiences, and brand-new entertainment designed with families in mind. Check out all the information below!
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
Alright you junior space rangers, listen up… the iconic Tomorrowland shooter attraction returns April 8! Join Buzz Lightyear on an intergalactic mission aboard Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, where Star Command recruits are called upon to help save the galaxy from the evil Emperor Zurg. After boarding newly-upgraded ride vehicles, Space Rangers will meet Buddy, a new support bot who guides them through interactive target practice before launch.

From new interactive targets that light up and respond when you hit them, to new handheld blasters featuring an always-on laser along with enhanced lighting, sound, and vibration effects, you’ll have everything you need to succeed.
When the mission is complete, new photo memories will showcase player’s scores to snapshot your victories and play progress.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Over in Frontierland, the wildest ride in the wilderness will return very soon! Disney shared “prospectors at Big Thunder Mountain Railroad are putting on the finishing touches”, and that the attraction will reopen with new magic and the shine and polish of an all-over refurbishment in early May.

Bluey’s Wild World at Conservation Station
Bluey and Bingo are on their way to Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Beginning May 26, guests can play games and dance with Bluey and Bingo at Conservation Station.
Once guests hop off the Wildlife Express Train, it’s time for fun. Play special games directly from “Bluey” episodes, grab a photo with Bluey and Bingo, and discover animals native to Bluey’s home country, Australia, at “Jumping Junction.”


‘The Walt Disney Studios’ Courtyard & Mickey Mouse Clubhouse LIVE
Also happening on May 26th, the reimagined Animation Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will open as “The Walt Disney Studios” outdoor courtyard for families to see and explore.

Also located here and debuting on May 26, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse star in a new show inspired by Disney Jr.’s global hit series, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+. The entire family is invited to a party at the Clubhouse where Mickey and Minnie take you on an adventure to find Goofy, Daisy, and Pluto. Get ready to sing along to upbeat original songs, join in on interactive fun and dance along!

Soarin’ Over America
In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States, Soarin’ Across America will open at EPCOT with a brand-new voyage beginning May 26. The new version will highlight some of the country’s natural beauty, including the Grand Canyon, as well as iconic cityscapes, accompanied by a new orchestration of the classic Soarin’ theme.

More Hollywood Magic Coming Soon
Beginning May 22 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Din Djarin, aka The Mandalorian, and his youngling Grogu lead you on a new mission tracking down ex-Imperial officers throughout the galaxy on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.
And debuting later in the summer at the park, The Magic of Disney Animation will feature playful moments around every corner. The newly reimagined space will feature a “Drawn to Wonderland” playground, Disney character friends ready to meet and greet in “Off the Page!”, and “Olaf Draws”, where guests of all ages will learn to draw from legendary Disney Animation artists whose pre-recorded guidance brings the class to life along with Olaf.


Finally, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will also open sometime this summer, fueled by the fun tunes of the Electric Mayhem and high-speed hijinks of The Muppets. Disney says to stay tuned for more rocking news coming soon!
