We pour our heart and soul into every Disney vacation. I’m sure you can relate. Those months, sometimes years, we spend obsessing over every last detail, trying to squeeze all the possible magic out of this precious time spent with family and friends. Sound familiar? Most of us do it. We treasure our time in Disney Parks so profoundly that it’s hard not to. However, after those nonstop Disney days are behind us and we head home with the trip of a lifetime only a memory, there is something that we take with us that can capture the experience beautifully. Our photos! (Oh, yes, okay, and the three new pairs of ears and one new Loungefly I seem to always come home with, but that is beside the point!) Our photos have the ability to transport us back in time, allowing us to relive a particular moment. You can smell the popcorn in the air and hear the enchanting music, just by looking at it. And if you are lucky enough to take advantage of Disney’s PhotoPass Service, you have the added benefit of being in most of the pictures instead of behind the camera.
Not only will Disney’s fabulous photographers capture your moments with all their professional tricks ready to get the perfect shot, but you can also add Magic Shots to your collection, sprinkling a little extra pixie dust on your special photos. Over the years, I have seen a lot of new Magic Shots become available. Seasonal events, character events, and annual celebrations often bring back a few of my favorites, though recently I’ve seen one of the latest photo ops to arrive in Magic Kingdom, and I think I might have a new favorite!
Peter Pan’s Shadow:
Off to Neverland! This Magic Shot is available from Disney PhotoPass photographers located near the Cinderella Castle walls by Pinocchio Village Haus.
Even though I love them, and the technology has come a long way over the last few years, some of the shots on offer can’t help but look like stickers that have been thrown in as an afterthought. (I said some!) But this one has all of the subtle Disney magic that I love, the kind of thing that if you hung it in your treasured hallway full of vacation snaps, visitors would need to do a double-take to notice its glory. It’s just so simple, yet effectively charismatic, just like the character it represents in Disney’s Peter Pan.
If you love this shot as much as I do, don’t miss your chance to add it to your collection right now in Magic Kingdom!
