If you’re looking to treat some-bunny this Easter Season, The Easter Treat Box is $80 and includes many of The Grand Cottage items including, a giant chocolate bunny!
We chose to sample the Bunny Burrow Dirt Cup (vegan), Cream Cheese Carrot Coffee Cake, Carrot Blondie Pop, Fruity Cereal Mickey Pop, and Hot Cross Bun. The clear winner was the Bunny Burrow Dirt Cup! It was both rich and dense; everything I want from a chocolate dessert! The dessert is refrigerated and the chocolate frosting is more of a mousse and is a little hard to cut through when first served. I would recommend letting it come to room-temperature first to savor the chocolatey goodness! While the Cream Cheese Carrot Cake had great flavor, I would have loved more of the cream cheese and felt the cake was a little dry. Both of these items can also be purchased at the Grand’s quick-service, Gasparilla Island Grill.
The Carrot Blondie Pop and Fruity Cereal Mickey Pop are too cute and kid friendly. Both were very sweet with a substantial amount of white chocolate but made for great pictures. In contrast, if you’re looking for a not overly sweet dessert, the Hot Cross Bun is the way to go! It had a great cinnamon and nutmeg flavor and would be so perfect with a cup of coffee in the morning.
