Hey Disney friends, I’ve got some incredible news for you; we did it! After years of light-heartedly (and occasionally not-so-light-heartedly) wishing for Dim Sum in EPCOT’s China pavilion, our dreams have finally come true. For a limited time, Nine Dragons Restaurant is offering a Dim Sum lunch special, and it’s everything we hoped it would be. Available now through November 22nd, this special offering includes your choice of four Dim Sum dishes, a hot or iced tea, and one dessert, the perfect way to add a little extra flavor to your World Showcase visit.
While the experience won’t feature the traditional rolling carts many of us associate with authentic Dim Sum service, this is an incredibly exciting step in the right direction. Guests can now enjoy a selection of small bites that celebrate the art of Chinese dining, right in the heart of EPCOT. The presentation might be modernized for theme park efficiency, but the spirit of sharing delicious, handcrafted dishes with friends and family remains intact.
It’s likely that Disney is testing the Dim Sum waters here, and that means now is the perfect time to show your support. As Disney fans, we often talk about wanting more authentic, culturally rooted dining experiences in the parks, especially in the World Showcase pavilions, and this is our chance to help make that happen. The more interest this offering receives, the better the chance that Dim Sum, or Yum Cha, could become a more permanent fixture in the China pavilion’s future.
So if you’re heading to EPCOT this November, make your way to Nine Dragons for lunch and give this limited-time experience a try. Not only will you get to enjoy some delicious new bites, but you’ll also be helping to show that there’s an appetite for authentic, evolving cuisine in the parks.
