Disney’s Riviera Resort doesn’t always get the spotlight it deserves, but here’s a reason to put it on your radar: Primo Piatto, the resort’s quick-service restaurant, serves a signature cookie that might just be the best [non-Gideon’s cookie] on all of Walt Disney World property. High praise, right? If you’re a fan of oatmeal cookies WITHOUT raisins, trust me on this one.

The Riviera Signature Cookie is built around an ingredient you don’t see in cookies nearly enough: dried cherries. Alongside semi-sweet mini chocolate chips, ground oats, California walnuts, toasted pistachios, and a touch of molasses, the cherries add a subtle tartness that plays beautifully against all that chocolate. The whole thing is finished with flake sea salt on top, which cuts through the richness and makes you go back for another bite.

The texture lands somewhere between an oatmeal cookie and a classic chocolate chip. Crisp bites with a melty center, with gooey chocolate and just enough chew from the oats. The walnuts and pistachios add crunch without overwhelming anything, and the dried cherries keep every bite interesting.
You can purchase one cookie for $4.79, or a box of 3 for $13.49.
The best part? Getting here is half the fun! Disney’s Riviera Resort sits right on the Disney Skyliner, meaning you’re just one stop away from EPCOT and a short ride from Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It makes for a perfect mid-day escape: hop off the gondola, grab a cookie (and maybe a coffee from Le Petit Cafe), and head back into the parks feeling restored.

Fair warning: according to my group, opinions are split on whether this cookie crosses into full “destination-worthy” territory or lands as simply being very good. Either way, it’s worth finding out for yourself!
Personally, I rate this one 4.5 out of 5 Topolinos (Mickey Mouse in Italian)!
