The DIS Unlimited team had the pleasure of trying countless restaurants at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland this past year! While most restaurants had at least one item we enjoyed, there were four table service restaurants that we overall did not enjoy and did not receive high ratings from the team. Follow this link if you’d like to read about our four BEST restaurant experiences of 2024.
Keep in mind, these are only the worst from the table service restaurants we reviewed in 2024. You can watch our full reviews of many other Disney restaurants here.
In the meantime, here are the four worst Disney table service restaurants we experienced in 2024 with some recommendations of what to order and not to order.
‘Ohana – Character Breakfast – Polynesian Village Resort – Walt Disney World
$49 per adult, $30 per child plus tax and gratuity or 1 Disney Dining Plan Credit
Team average score 2.13 out of 5.
Since ‘Ohana is a set family-style menu, you’re stuck with a lackluster breakfast. Our recommendation is to only come here if you are a big Lilo and Stitch fan since it’s one of the rare opportunities to meet them at Walt Disney World.
‘Ohana Breakfast Skillet – scrambled eggs. pork breakfast sausage links, Hawaiian-style ham topped with pineapple compote, fried island-style potatoes, Mickey and Stitch waffles, and biscuits.
Also served with fresh fruit, and freshly-made pineapple-coconut breakfast bread.
Tony’s Town Square Restaurant – Magic Kingdom Park – Walt Disney World
1 Disney Dining Plan Credit
Team average score 2.93 out of 5.
The entrees at Tony’s Town Square are just okay, but the view of Main Street, U.S.A. from the outdoor seating area is stunning. Our recommendation is to book a late lunch around the same time as the Festival of Fantasy Parade, request an outdoor table when you check-in, and only order appetizers (and maybe a glass of wine)!
ORDER THIS! Tony’s Garlic Bread for the Table – toasted ciabatta with roasted garlic-butter and parmesan fonduta for $13.
ORDER THIS! Fried Mozzarella Sticks – served with a spicy, creamy tomato sauce for $15.
PASS ON THIS! Spaghetti and Meatballs – house-made beef and pork meatballs served over spaghetti with Tony’s marinara sauce for $29.
The Plaza Restaurant – Magic Kingdom Park – Walt Disney World
1 Disney Dining Plan Credit
Team average score 3.13 out of 5.
The location of The Plaza Restaurant is great, but the view of Cinderella Castle is limited and the restaurant is small and loud. There’s really not much we can recommend here but the menu is one of the better deals for a Disney table service.
PASS ON THIS! Plaza Loaded Fries – crispy fries, melted cheddar, bacon, green onion, and spicy sour cream for $15.
ORDER THIS! Triple Decker Turkey Club Sandwich – house-roasted turkey, smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, and lemon-pepper mayonnaise on sourdough toast for $17.
PASS ON THIS! Seasonal Cake – spiced pumpkin with cream cheese frosting for $10.
Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White – Wilderness Lodge Resort – Walt Disney World
$67 per adult, $41 per child plus tax and gratuity or 2 Disney Dining Plan Credits
Team average score 3.25 out of 5.
Just like ‘Ohana breakfast, Storybook Dining at Artist Point is mostly for the character experience. You should visit if you’re a fan of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs or the real star, the Evil Queen. The menu is a pre-fixe with set appetizers and desserts with the option to choose your entrée. The portion sizes of the appetizers and desserts are comical for the price point, so don’t be shy and request seconds on these items!
NOT GREAT! Smoky Mushroom Bisque
ORDER THIS! Royal Prime Rib Roast – horseradish-mashed potato, carrots, jus.
OUR FAVORITE OF THE DESSERTS! Miner’s Treasures – cookies and cream panna cotta garnished with chocolate gems.
