Downtown Winter Garden is an easy 30-minute drive from Walt Disney World and offers great local restaurants, weekly farmers market, seasonal events, and Crooked Can Brewing Company which makes exclusive beer for both Disney World and Universal. If you’re planning an extended visit to Central Florida or hoping to try local options on your vacation, Downtown Winter Garden is the perfect spot!
Included in great local restaurants is Mangoni Italian Market Pizza. In addition to great pizzas, Mangoni excels in seasonal theming and menus. Now through August 13th, you can visit Mangoni’s Galactic Outpost themed to all things Star Wars. The over-the-top theming includes a creative menu, souvenir mugs, a Star Wars playlist, and Star Wars decorations throughout the restaurant. Souvenir options include The Hutt cocktail served in a Jabba the Hutt ceramic mug, a Sip3PO cocktail in droid mug, the Force Duo Souvenir Experience with two lightsabers, and free inflatable lightsabers for every Padawan visitor. Of course it wouldn’t be Mangoni without pizza and there’s two options – Rebel’s Bite with a Starbird pepperoni design and the Cheesy 8 made to look like the lovable BB-8.
Here’s a peek at some of the Galactic Outpost items we’ve tried –
Hothtastic Freeze – tangy lemon sorbet with your choice of watermelon, green apple, or blue raspberry syrup and topped with fizzy soda, star gummies, and a mini lightsaber
The Hothtastic Freeze is everything a kid could ever want – super sweet plus it includes candy and something to play with. It’s great to see a themed, fun beverage that’s not necessarily a cocktail.

Grogutini – bright citrus martini with a touch of kiwi and garnished with blueberries and lime
The Grouting is sweet but packs a punch. The citrus and kiwi is light perfect for a warm Winter Garden day. I’ve seen versions of a “Grogutini” on social media, so it was nice to actually order one!

Galactic Knots – golden garlic knots tossed in roasted garlic olive oil, finished with parmesan and basil and served with warm homemade marinara for dipping – $14.20
These garlic knots are seriously addictive. They’re chewy, cheesy, and full of garlic. The serving of 5 Galactic Knots is super filling and an obvious choice if dining with a group.

The included inflatable light sabers are a huge hit! Mangoni is also right next to a green space and interactive splash pad. We saw many kids playing in the park with their lightsabers, making it a great outing for the entire family!

Downtown Winter Garden is a great place for families to explore or as a date night to a local restaurant. With just one month left of Mangoni’s Galactic Outpost, you should absolutely try to squeeze it into your visit to Orlando! The theming is incredible and you’ll feel like you’re celebrating May the 4th all over again. If you’re not planning to visit before August 13th, still be sure to follow Mangoni on Instagram @manogniwg to stay up-to-date on their seasonal events. Until then, may the force be with you!
