The Cake Bake Shop Makes Shocking Price Adjustments to Menu

Thanks to Blog Mickey, we’ve learned that The Cake Bake Shop at Disney’s Boardwalk has recently updated its menu pricing for the restaurant and bakery. You might remember earlier this month when we got our first glance at this eatery’s menu and wondered if guests would even be able to afford to eat there.

It’s safe to say that Walt Disney World fans are accustomed to higher prices on most meals compared to those at local restaurants, but these prices were outrageous, to say the least. We’re talking $8 for fountain Coca-Cola products – now priced at $1.01 less at $6.99. Most entrees on the Children’s menu (ahem… PB&J) were previously priced at $18, and now, that same PB&J is $12.99.

While select menu items were only reduced by a penny, some had more substantial price reductions, and others, like the $78 Charcuterie Board, were removed entirely from the menu.

Apparently, word got out somewhere that this exorbitant pricing wouldn’t fly. We still don’t have an opening date for this fascinating dining venue, but we hope to see one soon. As a side note, we do hope to hear news about what’s going into the former Big River Grille space.
