I will proudly say I love PizzeRizzo and I know this is not necessarily a popular opinion. This Hollywood Studios quick service venue is located in the Grand Avenue section of the park and is a Muppet-themed pizza restaurant. While Disney pizza doesn’t have a reputation for being stellar, it’s the atmosphere here that brings me joy and keeps my family coming back for more.
The menu is mostly personal pizzas all served with Caesar salad. There are a few other options like a meatball sub, antipasto salad, and seasonal offerings such as frozen hot chocolate and a snowman cookie. There is also a selection of wine and beer, but no one is stopping you from walking over to your BaseLine Tap House selections.
There’s really one spot in this restaurant that deserves all the attention. Upstairs, Rizzo, the restaurateur and entrepreneur rat, has his very own banquet hall complete with a phenomenal playlist, dance floor, and disco ball. As a Muppets fan, the theming and little details are so enjoyable. As a parent, what I appreciate most is the ability for my toddler to eat lunch and then inevitably dance and get out all of his little kid wiggles.
PizzeRizzo is such a large space with plenty of seating downstairs, upstairs, and even outside. I’ve seen many families using this space to eat other non-pizza snacks and simply take a break. It often seems like many people don’t go upstairs, leaving Rizzo’s “Deluxe Supreme Banquet Hall” usually pretty quiet. We always take the elevator up so we can have our stroller handy, which is usually holding loads of stuff.
What really brings me joy here is that the playlist is so obviously for the parents – full of wedding reception songs we can’t help but love. Personal favorites include Whitney Houston, MC Hammer, and NSYNC. Not only do I love seeing my toddler dance and have fun, I get great joy from seeing other families having just as good of a time.
Is the food great at PizzeRizzo? It’s just okay but what can you expect, it’s rat pizza. Kidding! PizzeRizzo does offer something for everyone and your family is sure to have a great time!
