It’s no secret that some of the best Disney dining can be found at the resorts and we found that to be true at the Territory Lounge inside the Wilderness Lodge! Located right off the lobby, the Territory Lounge is open every day from 5 PM to 10 PM and serves shareable bites, signature cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
The atmosphere is cozy with paintings from US National Parks, dark woods, and leather sofas. There are also a few TVs in case you were hoping to catch a game. This lounge stays relatively quiet compared to Geyser Point located outside on Bay Lake.
The menu at Territory Lounge has some unique food offerings and while we only sampled two items, we will definitely be back!
Our server had several recommendations, including the Loaded Baked Potato Flatbread for $17. We all agreed this was a winner worth getting again and again! The bacon, potato, cream cheese, and chives were complimented by a generous amount of cheddar cheese and could easily be a meal in itself. This flatbread was so delicious we now think the Wilderness Lodge should also serve baked potato soup, baked potatoes, and every cheesy potato creation possible!
Next up, we tried the Bacon on the Wire for $25. This candied bacon is served with three different deviled eggs topped with salmon, jerky, and shrimp. We found out from our server that the bacon is homemade and cured onsite… what can’t the Wilderness Lodge do?! The bacon was both sweet and spicy and had the perfect level of crispiness. We each sampled one of the eggs and all agreed they paled in comparison to the bacon. While the toppings on the egg gave it a nice flavor, the filling was lacking.
On to beverages! Craig chose the Timeless Elias for $18.50 made with Macallan 12 year Whisky, Courvoisier VSOP Cognac, and house-made vanilla syrup. This drink has an awesome presentation! It’s a smoked cocktail that comes out to the table with a lid, which your server removes to release the smoke. You’ll have to watch our video review to see it! Craig appreciated the use of the large ice cube and the smoke flavor that remained, complimenting the sweetness from the vanilla and Cognac.
Ryno chose the S’more Old Fashioned made with Elijah Craig 12 year Kentucky Straight Bourbon, toasted marshmallow, and chocolate bitters for $17.50. This was a solid old-fashioned with a fun Wilderness Lodge twist. The toasted marshmallows were a nice touch and it included the single ice cube as an old-fashioned should! While Ryno thought it was a great drink, he didn’t notice much of the chocolate bitters and thought Craig ordered the superior drink!
If there’s a specialty gin and tonic on the menu, there’s a 100% chance I’m going to order it! This is why I selected the L&C G&T made with Fords Gin, St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur, and elderflower tonic for $16.50. This was a great G&T and a great value for Disney cocktails. The elderflower was not overpowering and the presentation was beautiful! This is the perfect summer cocktail if you’re looking for a refreshing beverage before heading over to Magic Kingdom.
We all can’t wait to visit the Territory Lounge again and I know I’ll be thinking about that Loaded Baked Potato Flatbread until then! To see our full Disney Snack Attack, watch it here on YouTube.
