Yesterday, Walt Disney World released a new commercial that perfectly highlights everything good about a visit to the Disney theme parks. As you can imagine, at this point, I feel like I’ve seen it all, with just about every approach to promoting Disney already. So, imagine my surprise when I’m watching this new advertising and tears start rolling uncontrollably down my cheeks. Instead of showing us what they’ve got to offer, Disney turned this one on its head, instead looking at the opportunity we have to create our own magic in the Disney Parks. It’s a concept I’ve been passionate about for years: the ownership over creating our own enchanting story while traveling rather than some expectation that it will be provided for you. And here it was, right in front of me, celebrated in every smile, small gesture, and moment of peace shown. It’s something you have to see if you are a Disney fan like me.
The moral of the story is that Walt Disney World isn’t the magic in our vacation; we are.
