Disney’s Lightning Lane Premier Pass Expanding To ALL Guests

Beginning January 21st, Lightning Lane Premier Pass will expand to be available to purchase for all Walt Disney World guests. During initial rollout phases, the premium skip-the-line service was only available to deluxe resort hotel guests, followed by all resort hotel guests.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass allows guests to skip the standby line and use Lightning Lane entrances for one-time access to every available Lightning Lane attraction in a single park on a given day. Since it was previously exclusive to Disney resort guests, tomorrow’s resort-wide update makes the premium service significantly more accessible.

Disney states this is the only update to the premium service at this time, and it will continue to be offered in very limited quantities.

What About Resort Guests?

Disney resort guests lose out on the exclusivity of the pass, and will now have to compete with the rest of Walt Disney World Resort visitors, but there’s still a benefit to staying on property when it comes to Lightning Lane. While any visitor will be able to purchase Lightning Lane Premier Pass three days in advance, on-site resort hotel guests can purchase the pass seven days in advance.

What do you think of Lightning Lane Premier Pass? Do you plan on purchasing it on your upcoming trip?
