It’s time to set your clocks to Pooh time, as we look at another Walt Disney World snack. We’re back on the hunt for a little smackerel of something, this time at EPCOT!
This isn’t exactly a recent find for me, but this is one of my best snack secrets. Tangierine Cafe: Flavors of the Medina within EPCOT’s Morocco pavilion serves as a year-round festival food booth, and these two savory snacks have been menu features for quite some time now.
I tend to stop here often, even when the park is sprinkled with those additional food booths. Both of these dishes, especially in tandem, are quick little pick-me-ups to keep you going the extra mile… around the World Showcase. Get it? Because World Showcase is 1.2 miles long? Yeah, you get it.
Psst… for my Disney Dining Plan peeps: both of these options qualify as a snack!
Grilled Chermoula Chicken Kebab | $6.25
Served with carrot-chickpea salad and garlic aïoli
The charred chicken is always perfectly fresh and tender. The salad accompaniment pairs well, adding a sweet and satisfying crunch. I’m not a huge fan of the added raisins, but I can pick around them. However, the garlic aïoli is the jeweled crown on top. I’m the girl who orders extra aïoli on the side for dipping and maybe adding some to the salad portion… it’s just that good. When I’m feeling extra peckish (or hangry from a hot EPCOT day), I’ll order two kebabs. It’s tough to beat the protein portion and packed-in flavor for a quick $12.50! I’m giving this one a 4.5 out of 5 on the rumbly in my tumbly scale.
Stone-Baked Moroccan Bread | $5.25
Served with hummus, chermoula, and a Zhoug dip
This quick $5 plate reminds me of a miniature version of Sanaa‘s bread service (YUM). The warm and airy stone-baked bread is easy to please, and the plain hummus is a good option for those less-adventurous palates. The herby chermoula and Zhoug dips are my favorites, though. Both are made with garlic, cilantro, and various spices. My only wish here is for more bread! I often have enough dips left over to pair with another piece of bread or two. Maybe I should start bringing some purse crackers to the parks… just kidding. But what if? This one ranks a 4 out of 5 on the rumbly in my tumbly scale!
Until next time, be grateful for your plateful!
