UPDATE 10/19/22: It’s time to get excited, folks! Walt Disney World has confirmed that Fantasmic! returns to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on November 3, 2022!
The new heroes sequence features a high-energy Aladdin chase with stunts never before seen on the “Fantasmic!” stage, a powerful scene with Elsa set to the song “Show Yourself” that is sure to thaw the most frozen of hearts, and stirring moments with Pocahontas, Moana and Mulan. Fun fact: To help choreograph the authentic Chinese martial arts you’ll see in Mulan’s scene, the creative team brought in Mimi Chan – the original muse and model animators used when bringing the character of Mulan to life for the 1998 animated film.

Beginning October 26th, “Fantasmic!” dining packages for select restaurants at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be available for performances November 30th and beyond.
We know this show means so much to people, and we’ve kept that in mind every step of this journey. Even beyond the new scene, we’ve taken this time to upgrade the lasers, the lighting, the sound, all to bring this show back even more beautiful than it’s ever been. We’re all really just so excited for guests to see it.

UPDATE 10/12/22: Walt Disney World has just announced that Fantasmic! will be returning to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in November 2022! No exact date has been announced yet, but be sure to keep an eye out for details!
We have been waiting patiently, well maybe not patiently, for an announcement regarding the opening date for Fantasmic! over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
On August 31st, 2022, Disney Parks posted a TikTok letting fans know that rehearsals have started for this fan-favorite show. Since then, we have heard nothing. I’m pretty sure Hurricane Ian pushed back the original opening date due to the parks having to close. I’m certain rehearsals were pushed back with the parks being closed those two days, but something is telling me we might see Fantasmic! in November.
While scrolling through Twitter, I saw a tweet that had a video showing Fantasmic! testing. This got me really excited because nighttime rehearsals with fireworks, music, and lighting means we are getting closer. I have a strong feeling Disney will make this announcement through their TikTok page or an Instagram reel, but I could be wrong.
