Disney has shared new information for Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge, offering new concept art of the resort’s lobby, dining locations, and gathering spaces ahead of its planned summer 2027 opening at Walt Disney World.
Located along the shores of Bay Lake, just next to Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, the new Disney Vacation Club resort is taking shape. Imagineers are now revealing several of the spaces guests can expect when the resort opens.
Lakeshore Lodge Lobby
The lobby is designed around the natural setting of Bay Lake, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking The Wetlands, the resort’s outdoor recreation area. Natural light, landscaping, and views of the surrounding environment are intended to be a major part of the arrival experience.
The space draws inspiration from Disney’s Pocahontas, incorporating elements from the film throughout the design. A fiber-optic river will flow through portions of the lobby floor, while an overhead glass sculpture inspired by “Colors of the Wind” will feature hundreds of suspended glass leaves.
Additional details will include custom tapestries influenced by the landscapes seen in the film, along with furnishings featuring accents made from reclaimed cypress wood.
3 New Dining Venues
Moonglade will serve as the resort’s signature table-service restaurant, offering waterfront views of Bay Lake through large windows overlooking the cypress trees lining the shoreline. The menu will focus on seasonal ingredients and locally sourced products.
For quicker meals, Bay Lake Provisions will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a marketplace-style setting with specialty coffees, grab-and-go options, and an open kitchen. Disney also says guests can look for woodland animal references hidden throughout the space.
Located beside Lakeshore Lagoon, Paint Out Point Bar & Grill will offer poolside food and beverages throughout the day.
The venue takes inspiration from plein-air painting (French expression for “open air”), with original artwork created by Disney Imagineers based on Bay Lake landscapes displayed throughout the space.
Dandelion Terrace
Disney also unveiled Dandelion Terrace, a lounge overlooking Bay Lake that will provide views of Magic Kingdom’s nighttime fireworks.
The two-story space will feature archival artwork from Disney animated classics, including Fantasia, along with decorative lighting inspired by dandelions (which also look a lot like colorful fireworks).
Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is currently scheduled to open in summer 2027, with additional details expected to be released as construction continues.
