The holiday season is a very special time of the year to visit the Walt Disney World Resort and one of the things that makes it even more enjoyable is a beautifully crafted gingerbread display.
The popular displays have been around for a number of years at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and on a much grander scale, at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. New for 2019, a gingerbread log cabin was constructed in the lobby of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and the theming is just perfect; we’re hoping to see it back every year!
Also new for this year is a beautiful little Christmas Gingerbread Village at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.
Have you ever gone to a cute little town during the holiday season that pulls out all the stops with their decorations? This gingerbread village reminds me slightly of Leavenworth, WA – a small town not far from Seattle. I miss home more than ever during the holidays and this display reminded me just a little of this beautiful place. Here’s a photo that my dear friend took when she visited earlier this month if you’ve never seen it.
Take a look below at the new village that awaits in the lobby of Saratoga Springs. Side note – I’d like to move into that little pink house RIGHT NOW!
Like many of the other displays around Walt Disney World, there are yummy treats available for purchase as well as special mugs and pins that are Resort-specific.
