Over the last year, TikTok was taken over by hundreds to thousands of Disney-goers showing off their style in what fans now commonly call the ‘Tower of Terror glam-bot.’ Social feeds were flooded with high-definition slow-motion footage of people dressed to the nines at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, sitting in the front row of Tower of Terror– posing mid free-fall!
While Disney rolled out the slow-motion video-capturing feature at Tower of Terror in 2014 for Memory Maker and MagicBand users, it recently had a popular resurgence with this viral internet challenge.
This trend became so popular that Disney even released merchandise commemorating it, along with a lot of other Tower of Terror accessories and wearables cataloged in this article.

First thing is, you will want to be using the My Disney Experience app; it has a lot of benefits, but what’s important here is the gallery feature. If you have Bluetooth enabled within the app, you’ll receive your ride photos seconds after they’re taken. If not, all you have to do is scan the MagicBand portal with your ride photo at the end of the ride. The video typically takes a few hours but can sometimes appear up to a day later. So don’t worry if you don’t see it instantly.
Getting the perfect video can be tricky, but don’t let that deter you. The worst thing that happens is you get to ride Tower of Terror again! The video is captured at the same time as the photo; it will happen right when the elevator doors open at the top of the drop. The camera is hard to find, but it is directly in front of the elevator doors. So look straight forward with your best face, and strike a pose!
