Did You See These Easter Eggs in the Magic of Animation Building?

Disney’s Hollywood Studios recently unveiled the Walt Disney Studios, showcasing The Magic of Disney Animation. Just under a month ago, guests and children of all ages had a beautifully decorated space where they could meet-and-greet with their favorite movie stars! Not only that, but there’s a beautiful short film to watch and a drawing class to attend. With a teacher like Olaf, there are plenty of amazing drawings you’ll be able to make. With so much to offer, I encourage you to take a read of this article, which discusses and details all that goes on within the Walt Disney Studios building.

There is so much to see and love inside the Walt Disney Studios building, including the gallery. Inside the gallery there are loads of adorable pictures commemorating the animation wrap party. You can see a beautiful mural of every Walt Disney Animation Studios animated picture, as well as a special “Now Showing” portrait detailing the most recent movie to have been released. Right now, this area has the movie poster for Hexed. This title drops in theatres on November 25th, and if you’re like me, you won’t want to miss it.

The gallery portion also features a miniature museum with loads of artifacts and memorabilia from all of our favorite Walt Disney Animation Studios pictures.

This section of the studio is my absolute favorite, I had never seen a museum with so much magic! I’ve listed everything I saw- just in case you might have missed something on your visit. (Or if you want to know what to look for when you go yourself.)

Starting off strong, you’re able to see Rapunzel’s frying pan! As featured in Tangled along with the signature banner for the kingdom of Corona, ruled by Rapunzel’s parents. In this display case, you can also see Mulan’s flower comb as well as Vanellope’s medal.

As seen in Wreck-It Ralph, this little badge looks like you could take a bite right out of it! I almost tried while I was there.

Also in this display, you will be able to find Penny’s bottle message and the Devil’s Eye! Both of these items are featured in The Rescuers, and you have no idea how thrilled I was to see that Miss Bianca and Bernard really chipped in to help make this showcase magical.

While a little harder to spot in the big picture, you can see Jiminy Cricket’s conscience badge on display in this case as well! I, for one, and absolutely honored that Jiminy was kind enough to loan this out so that we could see it.

You can also find in this display case a box of Kanine Krunchies, courtesy of the 101 Dalmatians, as well as the Evil Queen’s poisoned apple, Tiana’s water lily tiara, and Pooh’s “Hunny” pot.

I am surprised those pups donated two whole boxes for our viewing! Hopefully Disney is keeping count on how many bones are out for grabs. Just in case some go missing.

A closeup of this one was definitely needed- just look at how cute!

In the gallery room there are also a few artifacts lining the walls that might be a little harder to spot. One that you definitely won’t miss though is Maui’s Fish Hook.

This thing is HUGE! I’m surprised that Maui put it on display for us, and that it was able to fit through the door.

Lining the walls you can also find Elsa’s coronation staff, as seen in the animated feature film Frozen. As well as Raya’s Whip sword and hat.

This one can be the hardest to spot, as it is placed up pretty high on the walls. Also, along the walls of the gallery, you can find Robin Hood’s archery gear. Robin Hood is such a classic to me and I’m so happy that the film is getting some long overdue recognition in the Disney parks.

In the center of the room, before the second display case, you will see the Enchanted Rose- as seen in Beauty and the Beast, which is definitely one of my favorite Disney princess films. You will also see Cinderella’s glass slipper. It is so much more magical to see the glass slipper in real life! It is just as shiny as you expect it to be! Small too.

The second display case has just as many amazing animated artifacts to adore! From left to right just in this little picture you can see the Emperor’s Crown. Emperor’s New Groove is such a fun film and one of my favorite’s growing up. I am so happy to be able to see the crown just like it was shown modeled by Kuzco in the picture.

This case also features Scrump, Lilo’s doll, as shown in Lilo and Stitch. As well as, Peter Pan’s hat and flute from Peter Pan.

Did You See These Easter Eggs in the Magic of Animation Building? quasimodos figures

Quasimodo’s wooden figures as seen in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, have to be some of my favorite item’s on display. I am so grateful to Quasimodo for lending them out because the details are so cute! Esmerelda looks absolutely adorable.

Just in the corner of this picture you also get a glimpse the Atlantean crystal pendant worn by “Kida”. I absolutely love Atlantis: The Lost Empire and certainly recommend the watch if you haven’t seen it already.

Here, you can see the pendant in all it’s glory as well as the absolutely adorable cat collars as seen in Aristocats. Not to sound like a broken record, but this is also one of my favorite movies. Just look at how cute they are! I hope Disney starts selling some official cat collars just like these sometime soon.

I might sound like a broken record once more, but Hercules is my favorite Disney movie. I am so happy to see Hercules’ Olympus Medallion. Not only that, but also on display here is Pocahontas’ compass, some acorns- courtesy of Chip and Dale, and both the “Dinglehopper” and “Snarfblatt” as seen in The Little Mermaid.

I think all these little animated artifacts bring a magical, whimsical, touch to Hollywood Studios that fits right into the new Animation Courtyard. This whole area is incredibly vibrant and brings a smile to my face with every step I take. There are so many cute little touches that really bring this place together, and I hope after catching a glimpse of some of the little ‘Easter Eggs’ you are dying to see it for yourself! (If you haven’t already.)

What is your favorite Walt Disney Studios Animated Film and are there any little artifacts you’re hoping to see in the gallery? I think it is entirely possible that Hollywood Studios might rotate out some of these things every once in a while or even add some of them as purchasable merch items! Both would excite me and I would love to know what you think.
