The holiday season officially kicked off at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with their own snazzy Christmas event returning this weekend: Disney Jollywood Nights. Has this hard-ticketed holiday event improved from last year? That’s a question for another time… or you could watch the DIS Unlimited vlog that just dropped covering the first Jollywood Night of the season!
Before we get into all of the Jollywood entertainment, food, and details, let’s go shopping! This year, Disney created an exclusive merchandise collection heavily featuring Ollie, the original gingerbread man character freshly baked up for this event. The collection is only available at Stage 1 Company Store (yes, the old Muppets gift shop) during the event, while supplies last.

Ollie is a super cute little guy, and I love to see Disney create new original characters. However, I’ve got to say, I was not-so secretly hoping they would release some merchandise featuring Santa Gertie and/or the Muppets since they’re more heavily featured at this event. Color me surprised when we spotted the new Gertie artwork on this year’s event map! And we’ve got Kermit & Miss Piggy on the Wondermade Marshmallows parting gift… the design is already there, let’s put it on a t-shirt! Hey, this is a start — perhaps next year?
