Inside the Newly Reimagined Treehouse Villas at Disney World

Disney has shared a closer look at the newly-redesigned Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, showcasing a complete fresh of the accommodations while maintaining their unique woodland setting.

The updated villas are beginning to roll out now, with the refurbishment taking place in phases. Disney expects the project to be completed later in 2026.

Inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement and traditional New England-craftsmanship design, the refreshed interiors better align with the overall style and storytelling found throughout Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.

Natural textures play a major role in the redesign with wood accents, stone-inspired finishes, and an earthy color palette that help bring the surrounding forest environment indoors.

Accommodating up to nine guests, every Treehouse Villa has received new furnishings, fixtures, and finishes from top to bottom. Living rooms, dining areas, bedrooms, and outdoor deck spaces have all been updated as part of the project.

While the appearance has changed significantly, guests will still find the same convenient amenities, including a full kitchen and an in-room washer and dryer.

Disney has also incorporated numerous storytelling details inspired by its classic and modern animated films. Hidden throughout the villas are references to more than a dozen Disney Animation movies and shorts, many of which feature characters and settings that fit naturally within a woodland environment.

These nods can be seen through artwork, decorative elements, textiles, and custom furnishings. Wall murals and framed artwork include scenes inspired by films such as The Fox and the Hound and Sleeping Beauty. Botanical patterns and animal-inspired designs appear on pillows, lampshades, and other other features, drawing influence from films including The RescuersPocahontas, The Princess and the FrogMulan, and Frozen.

Additional Disney details can be found carved into furniture and integrated into architectural features, including subtle references to beloved characters from Cinderella and Frozen.

According to Disney, Imagineers explored more than a century of Disney Animation history when selecting the stories and characters featured throughout the villas, focusing on those that felt most at home in the natural surroundings of the Treehouse Villas.

The refurbishment is being completed in stages, with newly renovated villas already welcoming guests. Work will continue throughout the year as additional groups of villas receive the updated design.
