Tiana’s Riverboat Party Ice Cream Social & Parade Viewing launched on November 29, 2016, to mixed reviews. The event began on the Riverboat dock where ice cream and toppings, drinks, and sweet treats were served as Princess Tiana and Naveen mingled with guests.
Shortly after, guests would board the Liberty Belle where they would enjoy a birds-eye-view viewing of Magic Kingdom’s afternoon parade from the Riverboat. At first, many guests complained that the view was not a good one, but trees along the river were trimmed and the experience increased in popularity.
The last event took place on January 6, 2018, when the Riverboat went down for a lengthy refurbishment. According to the rehab schedule, the Liberty Belle is set to reopen on Thursday, August 30, but Tiana’s Riverboat Party Ice Cream Social & Parade Viewing is no longer listed under the Enchanting Extras Collection and Disney has completely removed that specific page from their site.
