Overview of the 2025 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a specially ticketed event separate from your Magic Kingdom theme park admission. This frightfully fun event is offered select nights August 15th – October 31st with tickets ranging from $119 to $229 plus tax. The party is held from 7 pm until midnight, and you can gain entrance to the Magic Kingdom starting at 4 pm exclusively using your Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) ticket.

New for 2025 – a new look for Jack Skellington and his immersive meet and greet, the Zom-Beatz Bash Dance Party, Storybook Circus Halloween décor and circus performers, and an appearance by Mother Gothel both in the Mickey’s Boo-To-You Parade and the Market Street welcome as you enter the party.

MNSSHP is the highlight of a Halloween visit to Walt Disney World, and we have everything you need to know about the 2025 event!

Mickey’s Boo-To-You Parade

 8:15 P.M. AND 11:15 P.M.

See your favorite characters dressed up in their Halloween costumes, plus rare Disney Villains and familiar ghosts from the Haunted Mansion! The parade follows an eerie visit from the Headless Horseman, who slowly trots through the parade route. The parade, of course, kicks off with the host of the event, Mickey Mouse in his Halloween costume, joined by Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, and Clarabelle Cow dressed as the Sanderson Sisters from Disney’s Hocus Pocus.

Other rare characters you can see during the Boo-To-You Parade include a lot of villains like Dr. Facilier, Captain Barbosa, Oogie Boogie, and NEW this year, Mother Gothel.

The highlight of the parade is undoubtedly The Haunted Mansion section with a visit from the Hitchhiking Ghosts (Phineas, Ezra, and Gus), ghostly ballroom dancers, and of course, the shovel-wielding grave diggers.

TIPS: The parade starts in Frontierland and ends on Main Street, U.S.A. for both parade times and the Headless Horseman comes out around 15 minutes before the parade begins. The 11:15 P.M. parade tends to be quieter.

Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular

August 15 – September 26 – 9:05 P.M., 10:40 P.M., and 12:00 A.M.

September 28 – October 31 – 7:35 P.M., 9:05 P.M., 10:35 P.M., and 12:00 A.M.

It’s hard to believe the Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular has now been a part of MNSSHP for 10 years! And honestly, it’s just as fun every time I see it. The Sanderson Sisters (Winifred, Mary and Sarah) from Disney’s film Hocus Pocus, return to the mortal world each Halloween season for one night. The three sisters take over the Magic Kingdom to throw the “best, evil Halloween party this side of the graveyard.” Dr. Facilier, Oogie Boogie, Maleficent, and other great Disney villains help the sisters create the Hocus Pocus Party Potion to cast a spell on all the partygoers.

TIP: Watch the 12:00 A.M. show to make the most of your time at MNSSHP.

Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Halloween Spectacular Fireworks

10:00 P.M.

“Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular” is hosted by the Pumpkin King himself, Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. This show includes state-of-the-art projection effects, lasers, lighting, and fireworks.

“Jack has come to tell a not-so-scary story about how anything can happen on Halloween night. Jack’s ghost dog, Zero, then flies off carrying everyone along on a trick-or-treating adventure, where four friends – Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy – find themselves drawn into a mysterious haunted house. Their journey takes them from one room of the house to another, encountering dancing skeletons, waltzing ghosts and a whole series of troublemaking Disney villains.”

TIP: You’ll want to be close to the castle for Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Halloween Spectacular! Jack Skellington and the castle projections truly make this fireworks show!

Overall Thoughts from the 2025 Mickey’s-Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

While not much is new for the 2025 party, the DIS Unlimited team thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment offerings, special character appearances, trick-or-treating, and reduced crowd levels. The event felt less crowded than years past, making for a better and easier experience finding viewing locations for the Mickey’s Boo-To-You Parade, Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Fireworks, and the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular. Additions like the Halloween decorations and themed entertainment in Storybook Circus also helped make Magic Kingdom feel completely transformed. You should attend this year’s party if you haven’t in a while or would like a less crowded and memorable visit to the Magic Kingdom! You can still purchase Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets and a Halloween vacation to Walt Disney World here.
