Originally announced at last August’s D23 Expo, Disney has been preparing the debut of Magic Kingdom‘s brand-new nighttime parade, Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, a production that blends modern entertainment technology with familiar storytelling charm. Guided by the Blue Fairy’s magic, the parade aims to bring the dreams and wishes of beloved Disney and Pixar characters to life in a procession of lights, music, and movement. We have a few more tidbits on the sparkling new parade:

With appearances by both classic icons and newer favorites—some featured in a nighttime parade for the first time—Starlight is shaping up to be a major addition to Disney’s entertainment lineup. However, there’s still no confirmed opening date outside of “Summer 2025”, keeping anticipation high for the first nighttime parade at Magic Kingdom in nearly 10 years!
Led by the Blue Fairy and her magic wand, this is the newly-confirmed order of announced floats we’ll soon see glittering down the parade route, with even more to be released soon:
- The Blue Fairy
- Peter Pan & Wendy
- Asha
- La Familia Madrigal (Mirabel, Isabela, Bruno)
- Elsa
- Disney Royals: Aurora and Prince Phillip, Tiana and Prince Naveen, Belle and the Beast, and Cinderella and Prince Charming
- Miguel and Pepita
- Moana
Created by the Disney Live Entertainment team, Starlight is designed to honor the legacy of Disney’s past nighttime parades while offering something new. With creative veterans from shows like Main Street Electrical Parade and SpectroMagic behind the scenes, the parade will carry hints of nostalgia through the parade’s choreography, lighting, and music. While Disney continues to tease what’s in store, Starlight’s debut date has yet to be announced. “Stay tuned!”
Besides the previously-announced floats and character appearances, who else are you hoping to see in Disney Starlight?
