The 2025 Easter Egg display opened this week at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. From now through April 20th, you can take in elaborate chocolate creations made by Disney’s talented culinary teams, and purchase seasonal sweet treats in the resort lobby from “The Grand Cottage.”
As soon as you enter the ground floor of the Grand’s lobby, the smell of chocolate dances through the air before you take in the intricate, handcrafted Easter eggs. The 2025 collection features 20 chocolate egg showpieces made up of:
- 340 pounds of chocolate
- 22 pounds of fondant
- 15 colors of cocoa butter
- 20 hidden Mickeys for you to find!
This year’s feature includes designs inspired by Expedition Everest, Madame Leota from the Haunted Mansion, Zootopia, Little Orange Bird, and a [somewhat anxiety-inducing] Inside Out 2 display. Let’s check out them out!
Evil Queen Easter Egg
The colorful and glittering details on this one are exquisite. The black-lit poison apple behind the Queen’s throne even spins!
Cinderella Easter Egg
For all the world to love. This design honors 75 lovely years of Walt Disney’s Cinderella with pearlescent detailed bubbles.
101 Dalmatians Easter Egg
It’s a chocolate Dalmatian plantation! A coo-coo Cruella face tops this egg decorated with spotted puppies and Roger’s London neighborhood.
Brother Bear Easter Egg
Koda and Kenai are seen inside a cavernous egg, observing rock paintings. There’s a more obvious “Hidden” Mickey on this one, did you spot it?
Maleficent, Orange Bird, & Steamboat Willie Easter Eggs
As seen in the Festival of Fantasy parade, the steampunk-inspired Maleficent float is on display atop a Main Street, U.S.A. base, complete with trolley tracks!
A halved eggshell houses Mickey’s little steamboat perfectly.
The Little Orange Bird is also wondering when his Citrus Swirl will return to Magic Kingdom?
Scrooge McDuck Easter Egg
Scrooge dove face-first into this pile of glittering chocolate coins and gems!
Beauty & the Beast-er Egg
…Get it? This is another outstanding sculpt, featuring hand-painted imagery and scenes from the film, detailed character inclusions, and a hollowed out egg showcasing the Beast’s forbidden west wing.
Madame Leota Easter Egg
Just next to Belle & Beast, you’ll find this egg-cellent nod to the Haunted Mansion:
I hear Leota has a remarkable [egg]head for materializing the disembodied…
Disney Characters Easter Egg
One of two completely painted eggs feature just about every Disney animated character you can think of.
Expedition Everest Easter Egg
It’s no competition, and art is subjective… but this one wins in my ~theme park nerd~ book. The dimly lit icy mountain interior complete with the Yeti’s silhouette, chocolate tracks, printed advertisements and Yeti warnings, and LED lights framing the backside really make this one to life. Makes me want to go ride Expedition Everest ASAP.
Inside Out 2 Easter Egg(s)
This is a clever design, however seeing those Easter eggs scattered about the floor of the Grand’s lobby gave me a little anxiety myself.
Tarzan, Zootopia, & Atlantis Easter Eggs
Baby Tarzan and Kala can be seen within this carved up egg full of treehouse details.
Judy Hopps stands by a hand-painted Zootopia feature, while elder stones from Atlantis decorate a massive pastel blue egg.
Dumbo Easter Egg
Dumbo splashes glittering water up from his bathtub, with Easter egg bubbles cascading down to an adorable Timothy Mouse.
Title Egg
Finally, the second fully-faced character egg features just about every Pixar character from beloved films AND shorts.
The Grand Cottage
At the center of the lobby display sits The Grand Cottage, offering springtime sweet treats for purchase.
