Part of what makes a Disney cast member so special is the magic and enthusiasm they bring to their role. However, other elements work together to help each cast member seamlessly integrate with their allocated area or attraction. Have you ever noticed that when you are interacting with a cast member at a particular attraction, it feels like they are part of the show? Everything from their spoken words to their attire caters to immersion, where you feel like their help and instruction are perfectly part of the experience around you. From time to time, Walt Disney World likes to shake things up a bit and give their cast and characters a new look. It might be in honor of an upcoming holiday, or perhaps the change of season, like we saw Minnie’s Spring dress change a week ago at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
New costumes are now being seen in Magic Kingdom on Main Street, U.S.A., as cast members are showing off their new looks. The new look was inspired by a turn-of-the-century sense of style and works to provide a functional, lightweight costume for the cast to enjoy. See what the new outfits will look like in this image below:
Are you ready? Cast are all smiles as they prepare to enter their new Main Street, U.S.A costumes era! Here’s a sneak peek at some of the costumes they’ll soon be debuting. Not only do these turn-of-the century Disney fits keep function and comfort top of mind with lightweight, breathable fabric, they’re also made from recyclable materials that help keep the environment in mind too.
