Local resident and friend of the DIS, Linda Andrews, sent us photos of the Walt Disney World resorts preparing the grounds for Hurricane Matthew to make its way past Central Florida. All photos were taken the afternoon of Thursday, October 6. The theme parks closed at 5:00pm that night and remained closed Friday, October 7. Everything is set to reopen as originally scheduled on Saturday, October 8. Thanks for the photos, Linda!
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa – All outside benches, planters, and trash cans have been removed.
Umbrellas were closed and the chairs and tables were taken away.
Boats were secured to the docks.
Lounge chairs and anything that may fly away in the wind were secured to the fences.
The towel bins at the pools were laid flat on the ground.
Netting was put on all the pool slides so no one would consider playing on them during the storm. ربح المال من الانترنت
Since all guests will be back at the resorts, a screen was set up in the lobby to show movies.
Lifeguards and recreation cast members have games, crafts, and pin trading set up in the lobby for kids.
The Magic Kingdom monorail station was empty at 3:00pm on Thursday, October 6.
