Please consider this a salute to all Easter egg displays at Disney World, but mostly the one at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
We’re back with another sweet-smelling AND looking Easter egg display, all hand-made by Disney’s talented culinary teams. You’ll find this showcase of sculpted chocolate eggs inside the lobby of the Contemporary on the ground level, just next to Steakhouse 71.
This year’s collection includes designs inspired by Hercules, Coco, Encanto, the Muppets, and Toy Story. Currently on display through Sunday, April 20th, each sculpted confection takes the culinary artist 30-40 hours to construct. Let’s take a look!
Dole Whip Easter Egg
What’s better than a pineapple Dole Whip? A comic-book style pineapple Dole Whip! This egg is giving us a certain Adventureland craving.
Baby Hercules Easter Egg
A half-egg cradle holds baby Herc and Pegasus, complete with some heavenly pearly details.
Kakamora Easter Eggs
These are the small yet mighty coconuts fiends from Moana and Moana 2. I swear, I could see one move if I stared long enough…
Coco Easter Egg
This hollowed-out egg lends a 3D effect to the Land of the Dead details, complete with sugar marigolds and a colorful Alebrije Dante.
Toy Story Easter Egg
The tallest centerpiece egg is an ode to Toy Story, Pixar’s very first animated film which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year! The details here are incredible — from the screen-accurate title to the building blocks spelling out “30 years & beyond”.
The Muppets Easter Eggs
It’s time to play the music, it’s time to paint the eggs! How adorable is this Muppety display? From Kermit to the Swedish Chef, each of the characters are appropriately represented in egg form through sculpted chocolate and textured finishes. But, I must ask… why no Bean Bunny?!
Dr. Bunsen and his trusty assistant Beaker sit nearby, working on an eggsperiment in Muppet Labs, complete with bubbling egg-shaped beakers and a guide on “How to Cure an Eggistential Crisis”. (Hey, can I borrow that one?)
Princess & the Frog Easter Egg
A hollowed out egg features eggshell waterlily petal details, and a silhouette of Princess Tiana on the inside.
Hercules Easter Egg
This orange egg is styled like a Greek vase, featuring ornate gilded details and hand drawings of the Muses.
Encanto Easter Egg
This final egg on display is made to look like the Casa Madrigal, with pink sugar flowers cascading down one side, and a hollowed out featuring a 3D sculpture of the Miracle Candle.
Which is your favorite Easter egg from this year’s resort displays? Will you be visiting Disney World this Easter weekend? Hope to see vous there. Merci! Merci!
