You are getting ready to arrive at the theme parks in Walt Disney World. There are a few steps to keep in mind before you enter the parks to enjoy the attractions.
If you are arriving by car, you need to go through the Auto Plaza at the park. Be sure to have your MagicBand and picture identification ready for the cast member to scan. Walt Disney World Resort guests and select annual passholders receive complimentary parking. If you are staying off-site, be sure to have your cash or credit card ready to pay for parking. You can also pay extra for a preferred parking spot closer to the entrance of the park. Pricing varies based on dates. It is important to retain the receipt because if you decide to visit another park on the same day, you will not be charged for parking again.
- Standard parking: car or motorcycle – $30 per day
- Preferred parking: car or motorcycle – $45, $50 or $55 per day*
- Oversized Vehicle Parking: Shuttle, Limo, Camper Trailer, RV, Bus or Tractor Trailer – $35 per day
Did you know that there is a car locator feature in your My Disney Experience mobile app? It uses the location services on your phone to find and save your vehicle’s location. No more searching in the parking lot trying to find your car.
If you are driving an electric vehicle, there are a few charging stations in each theme park so your car can charge while you are enjoying the attractions. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
As you approach the security checkpoint, you should be prepared. This is when you need to be organized with any items you plan to take into the theme park. You will be required to go through a security screening. Please note that if you have a large party, you may be separated. One person will stay with the guest or guests with mobility devices [if you have one] while the other guests go through the other security checkpoints. The guest not using a mobility device would go through with the bags and return to the person using their wheelchair, etc.
Walt Disney World Resort takes a comprehensive approach to security across our property that includes some measures that are visible and others that are not. This includes the presence of uniformed police officers, specially trained hazard detection canines, security screening technology, bag checks and other measures.
Please note that we do not broadly discuss the specifics of our security procedures to avoid compromising their effectiveness.
You are now to the last step, you have arrived at the touchpoints. Here, everyone will need their Magicband, Key to the World Card, or ticket cards. You can also use the Disney MagicMobile service in your My Disney Experience app. Don’t wait until the last second to find your tickets. Once you scan your card and your right index finger, you are on your way to a day of fun and memories. See you in the parks!
