Planning your Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party night can be stressful because there is so much to do. My first piece of advice is to take a deep breath and pick what is most important to you. If you are coming to the event as a family or group, have each person pick one thing they MUST do. I just wanted to take a moment to share my top three must-dos after experiencing the first night of the event.
The Parade
Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade is iconic. The music is catchy, the parade floats are out of this world, and the choreography is beautiful. Whether you love Halloween or not, I guarantee that this parade will put a smile on your face. It’s also fun to see the villains and other rare characters throughout the parade. Sadly on the first night, the first showing of Boo-To-You got canceled due to rain.
Trick or Treating
Trick or treating is so much fun, and being able to do that IN the Magic Kingdom makes it even more fun. The last time I went, prior to my dairy allergy, I had chocolate and candy for MONTHS. Don’t worry about my friends with allergies; they have allergy-friendly treats. There are two locations for allergy-friendly treats, one on Main Street and one in Liberty Square. They have so many treats. The regular treats consist of M&Ms, Twix, and other fun chocolates.
Attraction Overlays
Take advantage of the ride overlays because this is the only time you’ll be able to see the rides this way. I recommend going on Pirates of the Caribbean with the fun Halloween overlay. It’s great to see live actors in the attraction. There are only three live actors, I wish there were more, but I’m sure that’s all they can fit into the attraction. I just wish their mics were louder because they were hard to hear.
What are your top three must-dos at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party?
Hi, I'm Erica, and I write about all things Disney. Before working for The DIS, I was a theme park performer at SeaWorld, but I also performed at Disney. I have such an immense love for theme parks to the point I studied them in college.
