I love all things Dooney. My closet can attest to that. Totes, satchels, letter carriers, wristlets. You name it, I have them. Without a doubt, new designs bring me excitement, and this spring is no different. Details about several upcoming releases have been released and definitely do not disappoint. Let’s check them out.
“Romancing Minnie” is my favorite out of all the upcoming prints. Set on a black background with a chalkboard-esque cartoon design, these handbags are all around adorable. The print features Mickey and Minnie dancing, giggling, and grinning from ear to ear. You might even witness a kiss or two!
Three styles, including a pouchette, letter carrier, and satchel, will be available in mid to late May. Note that you’ll only find “Romancing Minnie” at Cherry Tree Lane in Disney Springs’ Marketplace Co-Op.
The collection is called “Mickey Thru the Years.” It is quite different in terms of color when compared to “Romancing Minnie.” This design is much bolder and sports classic red, blue, yellow, and black. Sketches of our favorite mouse are splattered across the canvas and remind us just how much he has changed over time. These bags, which will be offered in letter carrier, large tote, and wristlet in early May, will be available everywhere Dooney & Bourke is sold including Uptown Jewelers in Magic Kingdom, Mousegear in Epcot, and World of Disney in Disney Springs.
Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members are also in for a treat! Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the timeshare program is a completely new design that incorporates the DVC logo and other well-known Disney elements. The print will be available in a large tote, pouchette, and letter carrier sometime soon; no official date has been given.
Finally, Star Wars fans will delight in a new print featuring embossed icons from the franchise. This is the first time that a black leather bag of this type has been created. On it, you’ll spot Darth Vader, light sabers, tie fighters, and emblems for the Rebel Alliance and Empire. A red trim and inside completes the design in a letter carrier, large tote, and wristlet. Be sure to look for these at Legends of Hollywood in Disney’s Hollywood Studios towards the end of May.
