Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular will be lighting up the skies on June 17

Star Wars fans have a new reason to be very excited. No, details about Episode VIII haven’t leaked and no new information is available about Rogue One. However, we now have an opening date for the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular fireworks, which will be lighting up the skies at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The new nighttime show is going to be the most epic show ever at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and will include fireworks and pyrotechnics being shot off the top of the Chinese Theater. If that’s not enough for you, there will also be special effects and video projects onto the Chinese Theater and surrounding buildings which will display “the twin suns of Tatooine, a field of battle droids, the trench of the Death Star, Starkiller Base and other Star Wars destinations,” according to Disney Parks Blog.

The show will also feature music from the film franchise (of course) and a “tower of fire and spotlight beams, creating a massive lightsaber in the sky.”

The best part of this show is that so much will be happening that seeing it once will not be enough. It will take at least three or four viewings to take in everything happening with the projections and in the sky. Just make sure to stake out your spot early and in front of the Chinese Theater, which will have the best view.

Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular will be replacing the Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular fireworks.
