Pizza Planet restaurant at Disney’s Hollywood Studios to be renamed “Pizza Rizzo”

The Pizza Planet restaurant at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is being rethemed around the Muppets and being renamed “Pizza Rizzo.” It’s been rumored for awhile, but WDW News Today says the news is now official, according to “internal documents and permits filed in relation to the ongoing project.”

The location will remain a counter-service pizza restaurant, but will have a new theme to better fit with its location in Muppets Courtyard. The article mentions that Rizzo the Rat and his family work in food service in New York in the movie The Muppets Take Manhattan.
