Walt Disney World will hold a “Countdown to Midnight” event at the Contemporary Resort on New Year’s Eve. The celebration, being held at the resort’s convention center, will run from 8:00pm until 1:00am. Guests will have access to a buffet menu with food and wine from signature dining locations around Walt Disney World. In addition, entertainment will be provided by a DJ and the musical group “Alter Ego.”
At the end of the evening, those in attendance can make their way to the convention center’s porte cochere to view the fireworks display from the Magic Kingdom. Once the party has concluded, guests of other Disney resorts will receive free bus transportation back to their respective locations. This event costs $225 (tax and gratuity included) and cancellations
must be made at least 48 hours prior to the event or all payments will be lost.
Guests with a Walt Disney World Resort reservation can reserve their spots until Sunday,
July 3rd, while all other guests can book beginning Monday, July 4th.
