Yesterday, Jackie shared some highlights from The Walt Disney Company’s 2024 Annual Meeting of Shareholders and there was quite a bit of interesting information to be enjoyed. Amongst the comments about Epic Universe and concept art of the Avatar-themed land coming to Disneyland Resort (we all know how I feel about that), there was a fun little look at a new still from the upcoming Disney animated film Moana 2.
As you can imagine from the excitement I expressed after the announcement, I was so delighted to see this image that I had to make sure my fellow Moana-loving adventurers didn’t miss it. As any fan of a princess-style sequel could expect, Moana has a slightly upgraded look while remaining in her signature colors, though her determination and charisma appear stronger than ever. Clearly, Moana is no traditional princess and, instead, everything a modern, young female warrior role model should be. I can’t wait to see where this new journey takes Moana’s story this coming November! Are you counting down the weeks like I am? Now, I just need to find a way for Disney to scrap their Avatar plan for Disneyland and replace it with a water wonderland for Moana instead…
