If you cast your mind back to this week’s Monday Merch Meeting, you might recall that we shared some of the merch with you in a new Play in the Park collection add-on. There were some cute items included, but I have been waiting all week to see some of the international stock arrive in the USA without any luck. Before the release on the Disney Store website, as usual, the international stores got a little preview of the merch, with an advance offering of stock, though I was surprised to see that not all the merch that was included in the Australia store, for example, was made available in the US.
These are no small, kitschy accessories like you might assume could be offered to an international audience, either. Even though we saw names like Crocs and BaubleBar, missing items include the Loungefly Mini Backpack and Wallet, as well as the Spirit Jersey and, my personal favorite, the Balloon Pillow. Let’s take a little look at some of the items I’ve been waiting to show you so you can be prepared if they pop up over the coming days. Can you see why I am so surprised these items were not released with the USA collection? I keep expecting them to pop up here and there, but so far, four days later, there has been no sign of their release or promotion in the USA online store. If you spy one of these in the parks, let me know!
