Mufasa: The Lion King is now playing in theaters, and there are some newly-added limited-time offerings at Walt Disney World to celebrate the film and the Pride Land’s royalty.

Inspired by the film, a new limited-time Tree of Life Awakenings light and projection offering on the Tree of Life follows the story of Mufasa on his unlikely rise to become king of the Pride Lands, and features a custom medley of Circle of Life with a brand-new original score from Lin-Manuel Miranda: Milele.

Lion Conservation Efforts Continue

As part of Disney’s ongoing conservation efforts, Disney has relaunched their global “Protect the Pride” conservation campaign to support the Wildlife Conservation Network’s Lion Recovery Fund and its partners working across Africa to double the number of lions in the wild by 2050.
