MORE Creative Highlights from EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts

I recently shared some of my favorite artworks seen at opening day of EPCOT’s International Festival of the Arts. I noticed as artworks are picked up and sell out, new pieces are added. So, I’m back with more highlights after a recent evening outing to EPCOT!

While art is inherently subjective—what resonates with one person might not evoke the same response in another—it’s this diversity of perspective that makes the Festival of the Arts so captivating. Today, I wanted to take a closer look at a few more standout pieces that particularly caught my eye, without diminishing the equally valuable contributions of all the artists involved.

Art of Scooter

Scott “Scooter” Burroughs previously worked as a Disney animator at the Florida animation studio for over 10 years. Some of his accomplishments include Pocahontas, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Fantasia 2000, The Emperor’s New Groove, Lilo & Stitch. He currently resides in Colorado as an illustrator, and fine artist in painting and design. He continues to work with Disney as an artist to this day, and you can pick up one of his works at this year’s EPCOT fest!

Located between Germany and the Refreshment Outpost, you’ll find Scooter’s vibrant mid-century-inspired pieces featuring iconic scenery around Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Half of the collection stars Mickey & Minnie playing at the parks and kicking back in a mid-century style home, while the other half features a couple enjoying quality time at Disney attractions and restaurants.

I’m in love with this Sci-Fi Dine In piece! Makes me want a milkshake and a continuous reel of “bad” sci-fi clips real bad.

David E. Doss

Over at American Adventure, you’ll find tables and easels of works from David E. Doss. Known for his high attention to detail and watercolor work, you’ll find pieces covering everything from Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and Disney Cruise Line, including seasonal Halloween and Christmas scenes.

There’s so many to sift through! Luckily, matted prints are organized by themes, parks, seasons, and characters so you can easily find what you’re after!

I’m drawn to his smaller prints, and couldn’t help picking up this stacked piece of four little Haunted Mansion scenes.

I picked up the 25th-anniversary cake castle design back in 2023, which is available again this year. The opening year version with the balloons sprinkling the sky is also super sweet!

Carousel Of Color

While you’re at American Adventure, be sure to stop inside Art of Disney just behind the David E. Doss booth. This is where original works of art that prints were based off of are on display and available for purchase.

This World of Color paper art piece caught my eye with those glittering sorcerer hat and water features… and Wall-e & Eve! This one is “Carousel of Color” by Ryan Rilier:

More Hidden Mickeys!

One more piece which caught my eye was this Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground one, featuring Chip & Dale in their adorable campfire attire. This is “Howdy Ya’ll” from Greg McCollough:

Greg has long worked with Disney in advertising and park promotions, as well as a Fine Artist within the Art of Disney family. His trademark is represented with the hidden Mickeys he draws in most of his paintings! In fact, there are 6 hidden Mickeys in the Fort Wilderness painting above, can you spot them?

See anything you like? Will you be stopping by EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts? It’s happening now through February 24th!
