Dinosaur Gertie Mugs are BACK at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Hooray for Hollywood! And another HOORAY for niche, park-specific merchandise! I first heard about our beloved Echo Lake icon, Dinosaur Gertie, appearing on a mug and tumbler back in late November. Sadly, these only lasted a few days before selling out. I’m a big nerd for original Disney-MGM Studios iconography AND the history of Dinosaur Gertie, so I anxiously awaited a restock. Well, last night, I was walking through the 5&10 shop on Hollywood Boulevard and… EUREKA! She’s back! Not only are these adorable nods to a historic park feature, but both the ceramic mug and tumbler are moderately priced for Disney souvenir cups. In case you’re at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, grab these while you can!

Dinosaur Gertie Tumbler | $24.99

The tumbler is an icy blue color, similar to the hue of Gertie herself. The Dinosaur Gertie’s Ice Cream of Extinction logo is on one side, with her footprints crawling up the other (as they’re seen on the ground near her at the park!).

Dinosaur Gertie Mug | $16.99

The same Dinosaur Gertie’s Ice Cream of Extinction is displayed on both sides of the mug. The inside portion is lined with a shimmering yellow finish. Everyone meet my new at-home ice cream mug:

I also spotted another Disney’s Hollywood Studios-specific mug, featuring a very 90s-looking Mickey Mouse with a clapper board logo! This one is also $16.99:

Will you be picking up one of these niche souvenirs? I’m so excited for the future of Gertie merch… just think of Christmas time with Santa Gertie! Perhaps a devoted merchandise collection for Jollywood Nights? Hmm…
