Wine Bar George, a 210-seat wine bar, featuring oak wood, warm lighting and a welcoming atmosphere is set to open at Disney Springs in the fall of 2017.
Master sommelier George Miliotes’ new venture will feature a varied selection of more than 100 wines, plus a food menu with small plates that are designed to complement the wines.
The wine selection will not only come from renowned wineries, but also up-and-coming wineries, and will feature a range of varietals and prices.
Miliotes was part of the 1995 opening team at the California Grill in Disney’s Contemporary Resort before being lured away in 2002 by Darden Restaurants.
Wine Bar George will also offer wine education, special events and visits by winemakers.
There are currently only 230 master sommeliers in the world, and only 3 in the Orlando area.
