Vintage Disney Shopping: Chloé’s Treasure Thursday

Hey howdy hey, and welcome to this week’s feature of vintage finds! We’re back with another random assortment of vintage Walt Disney World souvenirs because… well, they just don’t make them like they used to. From little Orange Bird teacups to space backpacks, this hand-picked selection of goods make perfect gift ideas – for a friend, or yourself! Springtime self-care, right? Without further ado, let’s dive in!

Are you thinking orange yet? Happily, the little Orange Bird has ultimately become the mascot of EPCOT’s Flower & Garden festivals. However, we’re still missing his namesake treat from the good ol’ days of Magic Kingdom snacking; the Citrus Swirl. Nevertheless, this vintage cup and saucer is a great find and an even greater deal! Originally from the 1970s, this set would look lovely amongst your tea set, or perhaps holding a succulent inside.

If you’ve been following my merchandise features, you probably already know I’m a sucker for resort and attraction-specific goods. Especially when they’re vintage! This Mission: Space backpack has me in a chokehold. I love the NASA-adjacent logo for the attraction, the “old” EPCOT logo, and metallic details. It’s just waiting for some space-themed patches and pins to show off.

Speaking of patches, how cute is this one featuring *thee* Big Al of Country Bear Jamboree fame? It’s free of blood stains, too! Bad joke, I know.

Last up for today: these two colorful postcards from Walt Disney Productions, circa 1964. Of course, these are easy additions for your wall decor, with or without a fancy frame. Or, even though they’re vintage, you can always send a sweet note to a fellow Disney-loving friend.

That’s all for now. I hope you enjoyed this week’s selection of goodies! Let me know if you’d like to see anything specific from my future digs through the trenches of eBay. Cheerio!
