If you have been to Magic Kingdom, I am sure you have visited the Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A. It is the park’s largest gift and souvenir shop. The theming was an early 20th-century department store. The window displays typically feature scenes from some of Disney’s beloved animated films, and they do change the displays, so be sure to look every time you visit. It recently underwent a remodel. It does seem larger and can accommodate the crowds better, but I feel it lost the cozy old-time feeling it had in keeping with the Main Street theme.

This shop was designed to resemble a 1900s department store, with creative Disney window displays. It was like stepping back in time.
The store offers a wide variety of items, including apparel, plush toys, pins, candy, and more, pretty much anything you could want as a Disney fan.

There is a ton of empty space to accommodate more guests inside than ever before.

Some of the charm still remains, and we are happy about that.

It’s a great place to take shelter if it is raining outside. It can get very crowded when a parade or fireworks finish, so you might want to plan a time during the day to shop.
In the back corner of the store is Casey’s Corner. They put a larger pass through from the Emporium and I feel it took away some of the charm of this counter service restaurant. There used to be wooden bleachers, where guests could sit and enjoy Disney cartoons in black and white with a sports theme. They still have old-fashioned tables and chairs, but it isn’t as “intimate” and cozy as it used to be.

They have also changed the checkout areas, so you may have to walk to another room to check out.
How do you feel about the changes?
